2012 Fantasy Baseball Rankings & Projections – The Top 20

March 7, 2012

Well that was fun this morning. Highlighting 10 studs and the order in which you should draft them. Let’s continue shall we? The Top 20 includes some more studs that should keep you very satisfied, because the crop of players you’ll be drafting from in just a few rounds will be Blah City. Don’t believe me? Do a mock draft. Justin Morneau in the third round…oh you are right Kel. I am right, but you are also a noob, congrats!

A quick note on these rankings and projections that have been featured over the last few weeks and will culminate with the Top 10, Top 20, Top 100, and Top 300 rankings…these are how I think they should be valued. You may disagree at times and fall in love with me at times (but hey let’s just stay friends for now…I’d just break your heart….unless you have a huge bankroll for drinks.) Any-who I break things out into tiers when I can. When you see guys in the same tier it means it doesn’t really matter who is ranked ahead of whom…I just prefer the guy on top (well that came out wrong.) All the rankings will also be featured on their own page (look above…higher…higher…there), which can be found here.

After we wrap up the rankings I’m going to hold a live chat on fantasybalk.com to answer any questions you may have and try and help you with any last minute keeper question, draft questions, relationship advice, etc. that you might be facing. I’ll be announcing the date and time shortly. Feel free to start sending in your questions now to fantasybalk@gmail.com

13. Jacoby Ellsbury –
I already covered him here. 2012 Projections: 110/20/75/.300/40
14. Hanley Ramirez –
I already covered him here. 2012 Projections: 90/22/95/.300/25
15. Ian Kinsler –
I already covered him here. 2012 Projections: 110/26/75/.275/25
16. Carlos Gonzalez –
I already covered him here. 2012 Projections: 95/28/100/.295/18
17. Jose Reyes –
I already covered him here. 2012 Projections: 105/10/55/.310/40
18. Roy Halladay –
I almost left Doc out of the Top 20 altogether to try and really get my point across about ignoring pitching in the first few rounds. For the record, I would take Teixieira and Pedroia over Halladay. This just seems like a fair place to rank him. 2012 Projections: 18-7/2.55/1.05/215
19. Mark Teixeira –
I already covered him here. 2012 Projections: 100/37/110/.260/2
20. Dustin Pedroia –
I already covered him here. 2012 Projections: 105/16/85/.290/20
